Match Preview: VCF vs ASM
Valencia CF will face AS Monaco for the first pre-season test at the Christ Roi in Switzerland at 5 pm kick-off time which will provide the opportunity to see the brand new signings in action. Marcelino’s side have returned to the Festival de Football des Alpes for the third preseason in a row.
Valencia CF and AS Monaco have crossed paths on seven occasions. Three wins two draws and two losses for Valencia CF. Valencia and Monaco have played two friendlies one at Mestalla in 1962 which ended in a 3-2 win and a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Cup in 2014.
There is a long list of players who have played for both teams Aymen Abdennour, Marco Di Vaio, Nacho González, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Gerard López, Fernando Morientes, and Moussa Saïb.
AS Monaco come off the back of a 1-0 defeat against Everton on Friday and despite being well into their pre-season preparations, Marcelino’s side will be looking to get the win in their first pre-season friendly.
